Math2310 has two strands, multivariable calculus and differential equations.
Multivariable Calculus
Functions of several variables, level curves and surfaces, the gradient function and directional derivatives, different coordinate systems (polar, cylindrical, spherical)
Parametric curves and surfaces
Revision of integration, double integrals over rectangles, double integrals over general regions, reversing the order of operation, area of a surface as a double integral, change of variables.
Triple integrals, in different coordinate systems.
Line integrals, surface integrals.
Vectors fields, grad, div and curl, line integrals of vector fields, Green’s theorem, surface integrals of vector fields, Stoke’s theorem, Divergence/Gauss’ theorem.
Differential Equations
Review, existence and uniqueness, Euler’s method and fourth order Runge-Kutta.
Series solutions to ODEs.
Laplace Transforms and Fourier Series
Boundary value problems and regular Sturm-Liouville problems
This course changes over time so we cannot guarantee that these videos cover the entire course content.
